General Assembly 1 

  • Addressing the crisis in Haiti: support for stability and recovery

  • Addressing cross border tensions in South East Asia (Example: North Korean movement with ‘trash balloon” and its effect on South Korea.) 

General Assembly 2

  • Addressing issues on how to combat poor working conditions in less economically developed nations. 

  • Addressing possible ways to reduce unemployment in third world countries. 

General Assembly 4

  • The Western Sahara Dispute: Promoting Peace and Regional Security 

  • Addressing the Kosovo war: peacekeeping mission and regional stability 

NOTE: On the third day of debating (Sunday the 8th of June)

All GA committees will come together for a plenary and will debate on the topic

 

Promoting Global Stability and Security Through Economic Development and Regional Cooperation 

Security Council

  • U.S.-China Relations: managing conflicts in the Asia-Pacific region 

  • The ongoing conflict regarding the Israeli presence in disputed Palestinian territories.

ECOSOC 

  • Responding to the Mpox outbreak: Strengthening public health systems and ensuring global preparedness 

  • Addressing the challenges of electric battery technology: Sustainability, resource management, and recycling 

HRC

  • Addressing the increasing human rights violations and repression of women in Afghanistan 

  • Addressing the arbitrary detentions, torture and ill-treatment, and the instrumentalization of criminal law to eliminate any opposition in Nicaragua. 

UN Environmental Programme

  • Addressing how to reach the 2030 Agenda goals 

  • Addressing the ongoing issue of illegal Logging in South East Asia 

  • Discussing the potenial applications of new and ongoing climate technologies such as Carbon Capture and Storage, and Solar Geoengineering  

International Court of Justice

  • Addressing allegations of Genocide under the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide (Ukraine v. Russian Federation) 

  • Addressing Afghanistan’s breach of women's human rights. 

  • Addressing the requests on the obligations of States in respect of Climate Change (Request for Advisory Opinion) 

NATO

  • Addressing how to uphold stability and peace in the Balkans (emphasis on Kosovo) 

  • Collective security within NATO/Role of NATO 

  • Addressing the ongoing conflicts in the region of the Black Sea. 

SPC-1

  • Addressing potential policies to guarantee developing nations' equitable access to and utilisation of AI products and services 

  • Addressing the issue of employment losses as a result of AI
